Mini game project.

So, Today, We started to get things back on track with the course schedule. Hopefully, we can keep at this pace and be able to accomplish more each day, we have already lost enough time as it is already. The mini game seems complicated, but hopefully Mrs. Jones will explain it all. I'm happy we made it this far in progress.

RE: Goals.

My four personal goals for this class are to make a good game that people in the class and all around the world. The second is to make an exceptional grade. The third is to just understand better and sipher it down into little bits so I can know more about coding, for future reference. The fourth is to understand more about the whole entire idea of what Globaloria, in my opinion, I suppose it is to better the understanding of technology for students. The only bad habits I have are sometimes I don't go all out with my blogs and sometimes I do not update my learning log. I wish that we could keep on track and we didn't have as much of the problems with this class and our course schedule as we do now, I think that is keeping us from succeeding in this class. We are getting so far behind,  hopefully it'll get better

More exciting new on paper prototyping!!!

So, you thought this was going to be intersting eh? WelI, you're right if you're into this. Well, I just find this interesting, sort of like the result of splitting an atom and everything goes wrong. That's serious business. Anyway, back to reality. So I've learned that I do not have extraodinary artistic skills. But they will have to suffice. Well, hopefully the sketching will be easy to understand, if not well, there's not much hope for the world anymore. I have simply drawn thing with circles and also lines. Some of which have curves, and the circles aren't that circular. But me and my partner are willling to be the best we can be at this. Paper Prototyping is fun. Alright, Byeeeeee....

How to fold a paper 16 times with sedimentary folds.

It is illogical to try and fold paper with sedimentary folds sixteen times. You can try to do this but in all reality you will fail, epically I might add. You can, supposedly fold it twelve times!!! Some say eight, but true believers say twelve! If you can do this sixteen times, please inform the universe. Becuase, if you do this, my friend, you will have accomplished something....extraordinary.. Now go! :)

Paper prototyping

So, to my understanding, basically  paper prototyping is a putting your game design on paper. Each scene will go down on sheets of paper, like comic panels. This seems really easy now, but actually animating the game will be much much more difficult. Well, I hope not.

Brief Explanation of my game.

I think that my game will have a rich and compelling story. It will be filled with choices that will affect the outcome of the game. I also believe that my game will have enjoyable characters and fun gameplay. I will try my hardest to make this game presentable.

I am nervouse about coding for the game. I am not sure how to do it. It may be highly complicated but then again maybe it will be so simple that the simplicity will be complicated. hopefully Ill know what to do ad become exceptional at it.

Gloabaloria, Mid way.

So now I understand what Globaloria is exactly, and also what I need to do to achieve a good grade. To me this class is about bettering my understanding of technology and computers. I hope that all the work me and my partner will pay off, and we will also create a really great and amazing game. I am also looking forward to scripting and and coding the enemies and the enviroment to offer a challenge to the player.

My game topic.

My game topic is action. To me action/ adventure games get better reviews and a lot more players. Also it lets me have more freedom with my game, which I need to make it exceptional. I will also be discussing ideas with my partner, I will be giving him ideas and he will aslo helping me with mine. I hope that I can make a great game that students will play and will also learn from it. Also I will try to add a little easter egg for you gamers out there.! Least effective learning game.

GAME REVIEW #2: LEAST EFFECTIVE Learning Game
  • Name of the game that taught you the LEAST about its learning topic:Race to Justice.
  • What social issue or educational topic does the game explore?Honestly, The game is so horrible I can't tell.
  • What can you learn from this game?The ironic thing is this game teaches you what not do for your project.
  • What game genre is it? Do you think this genre is a good choice for creating a learning game? Why or why not? Sports, ITs a good choice for some, But not for this game.
  • Design Analysis (Does it look good? Does it clearly illustrate the issue or learning concept?) The graphics are choppy, And no it doesnt illustrate the learning topic.
  • Usability Analysis (Is it clear what you need to do as a player? Does it work well?)Its not clear what you must do, I thought you must get to the brick wall, But you cant. The game does not work well.
  • Suggestions for improvement. How would you change the gameplay to make the learning and play experience work together better? Make the controls better and also the concept.
  • List 2-3 things that you would like to learn how to do (in terms of functionality, design or content)This game taught me what not to do.. I am sorry, I cant post anything for this.

First game review.

The most effective game I played was bullseye! The educational topic that the game discusses is physics. It teaches you about wind resistance and angle trajectory. The game was an excellent choice for design, All students will probably have to apply physics to their life.
the genre is sports, I personally was a little sketchy about how this game would be educational, But now that ive played it, It raised my intellect about physics and drag (same as wind resistance.) So to me its a very educational and interesting game to play. The design was sleek and smooth, You could press the option to trace the predicted path for the arrow, and also the option for showing the degree of angle you have the bow positioned. It is instructed for what you must do as a play, You must shoot the arrow at the bullseye to get the points, the controls are very easy to learn, The game is extremely addicting after you play for a few minutes.  I really don't have any suggestions for improvement, Except that I wish there were more levels and also and experience system, to get a new, sleeker bow. I would like to learn how to calculate the numbers and also how to make the backgrounds respond to certain actions of the player.

globoloria so far..

Globaloria is pretty  awesome so far, Im just getting use to blogging and everything else, Everything seems so complicated, All the coding, adding sound and adding scripture, But hopefully everything will be siphered down to make it all easier to process.
